About
The name Art and Perception directly references Arnheim's book "Art and Visual Perception," which delves into the psychology of the creative eye.
At Art and Perception, we are dedicated to fostering creativity and cultural understanding through visual expression. We believe in the transformative power of art in education and its significant impact on childhood development.
Our philosophy prioritise nurturing both individuality and singularity in children. Individuality helps them develop unique characteristics and personal identity, while singularity celebrates their irreplaceable uniqueness and perspectives. Through art, we provide a creative space where children can explore and express their inner worlds. By engaging with diverse materials and themes, children are encouraged to experiment, reflect, and articulate their thoughts and feelings. This journey enhances their creativity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Our approach combines theoretical and practical workshops tailored to each topic, designed to stimulate imagination. Each session explores a variety of themes related to history and contemporary art to inspire creativity. Through this process, children gain a deeper understanding of visual principles and refine their ability to articulate their perspectives and viewpoints.
